Apples, Apples & more Apples

We picked a bunch of apples from our tree and I decided to get them all cut up & freeze them to use later in pies, or cobblers etc. Soaking in my mixture of water, sugar and lemon juice.

I got a total of 21 cups of apples. I made 3 of them up into a cobbler for tonight and the rest are out in the freezer. I love having stuff like this stockpiled in the deepfreeze. Makes for easy baking later!! My hand is sore through from all the peeling, coring & slicing!

  2. great idea-what is the water/sugar/lemon juice ratio? We had a ton of apples last year and I had no idea what to do with them. Thanks

  3. Steph, I have the applle p/c/s and I don't love it, it annoys me more than anything, maybe I should just sell it instead of let it sit in my closet.

R- I'd put like a cup of sugar in that big bowl, fill with some tap water and then pour in some lemon juice, I didn't really measure, just eyeball, and I didn't put ALL the juice in the freezer bags, just a little. Hope this helps! :)
