Hazen Harvest Fest

I took the kids to the Hazen Harvest Festival.
We met up with some friends & took in the parade, then headed down to the inflatables.
The boys had a ball jumping & going through the mazes.

It was toasty hot out & the firemen had a gigantic slip-n-slide set up, complete with bubbles.
 They had a ball.
Get'n all suds'd up (saved me time at bathtime later) HA
It was the perfect way to cool down!

TROUBLE

Prestyn was in trouble, so he went to "sit & face the wall"
Sidney joined right in, guess she's practicing for when it's actually her turn!?!?

Nana came!!

We were so excited Nana came to watch Soccer.
Sidney was so glad to see her she did NOT want to stay in the stroller.
The coach was keeping the kids in line for awhile! LOL
I think he likes his job!!
Thanks for coming to watch Cayden & Beau do soccer.

HI!

the bus.

Cayden rode the bus home from school today.

The deal has been once he can tie his shoes, he can ride the bus.

So today was the day.

We'll see how we do in the am, when he has to get outta her 25 minutes earlier.

But he's excited & did great.

MEDORA

We took our first family trip to Medora this year.
Justyn doesn't think he's ever been there & I hadn't been there since I was about Cayden's age.
We were excited to meet up with Grammie & Papa.
When we got there we went downtown Medora & did some shopping.
I found THIS adorable buffalo, & took him home with me! LOL
The boys were so excited they wanted to ride the train, so we all hopped aboard.
Sidney thought it was great too!
 She's a big girl now!
After exploring downtown & eating at the Maltese burger joint we loaded up to hit the trail.
We stopped a couple times to check out the view & get the kids stretched out.
The boys loved exploring with Grammie & Papa.
 Aren't they cute?
 Our family!
Still wearing my girl at 15 months, and I think she likes it!
 All the boys!
 All the girls!
 Our family again!
We had taken quite a hike prior to this!
So much fun, we will definately be back again next year!
We watched the "shoot out" and Cayden was enthralled.
 These two were tuckered out.
 Hitch'n a ride.
We met up with Prairie, Wade & Mary & Newell.
Sidney LOVED Prairie.
Prestyn at the musical - he made it a bout 90% through before he fell asleep.
Cayden at the musical, he lasted the entire time!
 Our whole crew!

We went to Prairie & Wade's place to spend the night after the musical.
In the morning she taught the boys how to milk a cow.
Cayden even got to give it a try.
Cayden convinced Daddy to buy him this 10 gallon hat at the musical.
Of course he had to "cowboy up" when the horses came out.
This girl even was kind enough to model the hat for us!
We had such a nice little get away!!
Thanks for the good time Mom & Dad, Mary & Newell & Prairie & Wade.

Wierd fart!

Prestyn.

Well, he can be a little ornery. (not sure how to spell that word)

So we went to an impromtu lunch with some friends at Dairy Queen.

The manager walks by & asks up how we are & is chatting.

He walks over to Prestyn & his friend & asks them if they are in school yet.

Prestyn says "No, I'm just widdle" (little)

Then the guy says "Oh, you'll be bigger soon"

and Prestyn says "Your a wierd fart"

the guy says "what?" (couldn't quite hear him)

so Prestyn says it again - LOUDER
"YOUR A WEIRD FART"

This is when I apologize profussely, bow my head & GIGGLE under my breath.

Who's kid is this??

Early mornings

WOW!
It sure is an adjustment getting used to getting out the door by 8:05 5 days a week.
Usually with 3 kids in tow.
ONE of them always has to have showerd, get dressed, ate breakfast, tied his shoes & packed his backpack.

The other two....we'll there have been days they are in their jammies at dropoff.

Cayden is LOVING kindergarten.

He brought home an alphabet poster yesterday.
Each week when they work on a new letter,
on Wednesdays he brings something that starts with that letter & then gets a "badge" for his poster!!

So fun!

This week he asked me "Mom, when can you just drop me at the door?"

I guess my boy is getting independent.
We've been walking him in each day, but we've done a few trial runs of him doing it solo,
so today he's getting dropped at the door.
I pray he will do fine.

The next step is the BUS!
He's been begging to ride it & asking me almost daily
"Mom, have you talked to dad yet about the bus?"

LOL ~ I love it!
