some knitting pics

Well, I've been keeping busy with knitting and made this hat. Then made the flowers to go on it. These BIG flowers are very in right now for little girls and I think ADORABLE (dad I know you'll say differently). When I showed Justyn this one he stepped back & said "oh my GAWD" He doesn't love it at all...oh well, hopefully I'll sell it!
This one Justyn likes alot, he likes the smaller flower. I still plan to put a button to match in the middle, but can't get to my needles right now. So this will wait until I can get around better.

Doesn't Prestyn make a great model?? He thought the BIG flower hat was the best. :) Can't wait to have our baby girl wearing cute girly stuff! WHOOHOO!

SPOILED!

We were spoiled yesterday! Uncle Curt & Aunt Shari called & wanted to bring something over for us. They showed up with dinner, dessert and MILK DUDS!!! (how did they know??)
Also they brought the boys a barrel of monkeys and a "SMOKIN HOT MUSTACHE" for Cayden. For those of you who have a good memory, he used to say this ALL the time. To EVERYONE!!
SO thanks to Curt & Shari - we really appreciate your caring!!

INVITES!!

Oh, and today I actually made it downstairs and made birthday party invitations for Charlie and Hope's party! Here are the sneak peek pics I emailed Steph, you'll have to wait for the full view until she receives them!!
I love custom orders!!!

Keeping busy

I decided if I was laid up I may as well be productive and stay busy. So i've been busy reading this book "America's Cheapest Family". Really quite an interesting read to hear how this family saved their money & stuck to a budget. Alot of the things they do, we do similarily, so we might just need to do a little tweaking!!
Of course THIS lovely box of Milk Duds that Heather brought me on Sunday is GONE (I have to gain SOME pregnancy weight...don't judge me) and YES Justyn did help me eat them....he's so loving and generous!!

I started another hat, this was on sunday just starting out, and I just finished it this afternoon, and now have another hat cast on!! :) FUN!!!
Of course I've been keeping Justyn busy with "Can you get me some more water?" "can you get me some more tylenol" and on Monday it was "I have to go to the bathroom"
(all before the crutches & boot. Now all he has to "do" for me is water & meds)
(and cooking, cleaning, feeding kids, laundry, diaper changes, baths, etc) He's doing an awesome job & has even kept Prestyn in cloth full-time since this whole thing happened.
WHAT A MAN!!!!!
Well he's been home for awhile & I guess re-organizing the closets last week wasn't enough to satisify his urge to de-clutter. So today I caught him re-organizing the kitchen cupboards/pantry. :)
He told me "NO PICTURES"!! HA.
I told him if he wants to win "Husband/Father of the Year" then I need to document all the fabulous things he does!!

Just FYI ladies, he is available for hire if you need him to come organize anything in your house. :) Just call and we'll set it up!!! (love you pooks)

Appointment update!

We are home from our x-rays, ultrasound, and dr's appointment. Our OB appointment got cancelled and rescheduled for next week, but we had to see a different dr for my ankle.
The ultrasound went great. Heartbeat was 155, 4 chamber heart, 3 vessel cord, perfect spine, 5 fingers on each hand etc. Everything on baby looked great. The tech was trying to find out the sex for us, but said it might be hard to tell if it wasn't a boy since we are a little early (18.5 weeks instead of 20). So he tried and didn't see anything. I said "I don't see a pee-pee, if it was a boy, we'd see a pee-pee right?" and he said yes. He looked again & again and couldn't find a pee-pee.
I said "so...it's a girl?" and he said "I think so" I said "I need a percentage" and he said "80%" and he also told us we could come back in 10 days and he do another u/s for free to verify the gender for us, but he then was calling the baby "her"!! So ...
ITS A GIRL!!!

On to the not to good news. I fell on the driveway on Sunday and hurt my right foot/ankle. I had x-rays this morning. We went to see Dr. Z to see if it was a sprain or what. He felt my leg and asked me to tell him when/where it hurt. Then he said he had already looked at the x-rays and I have a spiral fracture on the bone that goes over my ankle on the outside (not sure what that bone is called).
So I'm in a boot & on crutches. I'm supposed to keep my foot elevated as much as possible for the next few days & NO pressure on it. Then on Tuesday we have our OB check and they'll re-do the x-rays & check the swelling & pain. This type of fracture should heal itself without any surgery or anything but we'll have to watch it.

Stephanie - this picture is for you so you can see my boot. I'll have to have Justyn take my 18 week belly picture with all my gimpy gear (crutches and boot) Just so you can all laugh at me! ha!

I'm beyond annoyed and frustrated that I actually have a fractured bone. But when it all comes down to it, I'm relieved that that's the worst of what has happened. We have been so immensly blessed with our 2 healthy, happy boys, and another healthy pregnancy/baby. I'm so thankful for a wonderful husband who should win father/husband of the year (yes that's you babe) and I'm thankful we have everything that we need!! Home, health, food, love and each other!
Now this whole "GIRL BABY" thing just needs to sink in!!

just what i needed.....not to have happen

I'm so frustrated right now. I went out to play/take pictures of Cayden playing in the snow a little bit today. I had layed Prestyn down for a nap & headed out. Cayden had sledded down 2 hills and was headed back to the first, he had just handed me his rope to the sled. I was turning around and whoosh....slipped and fell. I heard something "crunch" or "snap" when I went down and IMMEDIATE pain in my right ankle. Justyn had to help me inside. I'm such a whimp I was breathing through the pain like I was in labor and even got teared up. Between the pain and the frustration I just wanted to scream.

I can't put any pressure on it & to even HOP with Justyn's help hurts. So I've been crawling to the bathroom since it doesn't hurt as bad...TMI I know, but it's the truth.

I've had it propped and iced since then & the outer part of my ankle is very swollen and above the ankle is very swollen too....stinky stinky. Luckily Justyn is home to help out. He's been amazing.

Oh and I can't forget how awesome it was to have a box of my favorites (MILK DUDS) brought over! Nothing cures a hurt like milk duds.....thanks Heather - you rock!!!

I'll have to take a picture of my ankle sometime...yeek.

I'll be brave!

I'm being brave her and posting my 17 week belly shot. I pulled up the pics I took at 17 weeks with the boys for comparission. I'd say they are pretty similar....what do you think??
We have our big u/s on Tuesday the 29th and I'm debating weather to find out the gender of our baby or wait & be surprised. What to do what to do?!?!
17 weeks with baby #3
17 weeks with Prestyn

17 weeks with Cayden
What do you think?? Any guesses on what were having??

CHRISTMAS!

We had Christmas Eve dinner at some friends house. It was so yummy and nice. After Dinner we went to the Christmas Eve Candlelight service at church. It was really nice. It was supposed to start blizzarding that night so we were ready to hole up in the house.
Me and the boys ready to open presents:

Knitting

I've picked up knitting again! It's such a great winter project. I've now made 7 hats, and just cast on #8. This is the hudson hat I made for Cayden.
and mr. smirky himself...he LOVES this hat and probably asked me about 4 million times if his hat was done yet while I was knitting.

This is the hudson hat I made for Prestyn. I love the colors, but it's a little big for him. He loves having his "hat...ON" :)
another view

The first hudson hat I made Prestyn was way too small and I decreased too quickly, but it was still adorable, so it's now Anthony's!!

I've made 4 other hats that are just like a normal beanie. I'll post pics of those soon!

Klatt Christmas 2009

We had our Klatt family Christmas in Fargo this year. We met half way from the Minnesotans at a hotel and swam, and ate and played games. It was alot of fun. The kids had fun tearing into their presents.
Our sweet little men.

Our Family! Wishing you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Happy New Year!!

smarty pants

I was working on some papers in the kitchen when Cayden came strutting in with his "doodle pro" He sat down and told me he was going to write all his numbers.
WOW - I can't believe how awesome he's doing. Our little left hander!!

Wall Christmas

We had our Wall family Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. Sadly Uncle Ryan and Auntie Laura couldn't join us. :(

The kids were wild and crazy in anticipation of opening all their presents, but first we had to torture them with a group picture. Seems like only yesterday we took Cayden and Charlie & Hope to Walmart for a "professional" cousins picture. I can't even imagine getting these 6 to cooperate for a picture these days. They sure are cute though...and silly to boot.
Not to shabby. Charlie 11, Hope almost 5, Cayden 3, Alex 2, Prestyn 1, Anthony 4.5 months.
We had a great Christmas together other than Grammie being sick. I'm so thankful for our family and the time we get to spend together!

moving the piano

WHOOHOO - I finally have my piano in my house!!! At Thanksgiving my parents brought my childhood piano to our house. It is a huge upright piano. I believe my mom got it from an aunt of hers who bought it for $5 at an auction sale. Mom & Dad had it refinished by our Pastor growing up. (Pastor Korns) and it is beautiful. I love this piano.
Here are the guys moving it in Thanks to Kerry & Curt for coming to help and for Dad being so smart and building a "ramp" for the stairs, I'm sure it helped out the guys' backs!!

Dad, Justyn, Kerry, Curt and me surrounding the beauiful piano!!

Pounding out a quick song, just cause I was to excited to wait...who's kids were sleeping, certainly not mine!! :)

sneak peak

Well here he/she is. Not the best u/s pics, but since the baby is only about 4 inches long and about 2 oz, I'm not surprised. This is the baby's back, left side is head right side it butt. :)

Finding the HB - 160. Such a sweet sweet sound.

and one more!! I'm in love already!!
