Ranch Round Steak

Ranch Round Steak
3 lbs beef round steak
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 cup Crisco shortening
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Trim steak and slash edges to prevent curling. Mix flour, dry mustard, salt and pepper, use to coat meat. Brown meat on both sides in Crisco. Remove from skillet and place in oven safe dish. Stir remaining flour into drippings. Combine water and worcestershire sauce and stir into skillet mixture. Cook & stir until thick & hot. Pour hot sauce over meat. Place in 200 degree oven for 45-60 minutes until done.

Not the case.

Justyn, Cayden and Prestyn were all playing "farm". Usually their names consist of Jim Bob, Louis, Louie, Jimmy, Johnny or names of that sort.

Well today Cayden decided his names was Jimmy Wilson. Not just Jimmy, but Jimmy Wilson. So dad played along.

They were driving away from me and Justyn told Cayden "Prestyn's name is DeAngelo"
and Cayden replied with "WHO THE HELL IS DEANGELO?"

Oh my soul, I had to hide myself I was laughing so hard I was crying.

Certainly MY son, would not use the word HELL in that context, and with such emphasis. Luckily Justyn kept his composure and told him that we don't speak like that and it was naughty etc. But oh my have we been giggling about it all night.

He did NOT say this either.....

My boy is on a roll....

We were at the dinner table eating patty melts. There was 1/2 of a patty melt left. Both boys were done and we were both full.

Me (to Justyn): "Just eat it hun!"

Justyn (to me): "You're eating for two, you eat it"

Me (to Justyn): "I can't (pointing to belly) I'm all out of room."

Justyn (to me): "Are you calling me fat?"

Cayden (to Justyn): "Hey FATTY"


ETA: Justyn and I split the last 1/2 of a sandwich!

We're replacing our water heater as the old one was on the fritz.

It's amazing how long an empty cardboard box and entertain 2 little men!

28 week OB

I had my 28 week OB visit today. I passed my Gestational Diabetes testing and am measuring right on track. Little miss was kicking the doppler while Dr H was listening to her heartbeat. Her heartbeat was 156.

My next Dr's visit is in Bismarck - I'll be 32 weeks, and then all my visits will be with Dr P who will deliver our baby girl. I can't believe how close we're getting to meeting our little lady.

I love our Dr's office here and will be so excited to bring the baby in to meet all the ladies there this summer. I don't think Dr H wanted to send me on, she even hugged me when I left today! I LOVE our office here! They rock!!

SNOW FUN!

We got to get outside today & have some fun playing in the snow. Cayden started out by putting some snow down Prestyn's jacket....such brotherly love!! :)
