The zoo 2013

We took the kidlets to the Dakota zoo on Monday! They loved it!

We cooled off in here for a bit. Sidney was scared of the bear...haha. Yet we conned her into ONE picture by it. She'll hate us someday. :)

Lake Tachida family fun day!

We decided on a Family Fun Day while Justyn actually had time off from work & the sun was shining. So we headed to Lake Tachida for the afternoon. 

First up was a picnic lunch. 

Aubrey was thrilled to be there!

Then the annoying photo shoot by mom.

Somehow I get them all to cooperate for 2 minutes...

Could be the bribery...or just that they are awesome kids!

Then the swimming began.

Aubbie relaxed in the shade most of the day. She did get her feet wet, but that was all. She would much rather get some tickles from daddy!

Then the boys set out to play with the sand/water. Not exactly sure what you'd call what they made, but they had fun. 

Sidney took over the "mini-pool"

I think she loves her naps most of all!

She slept for ALOT of our day!

We had so much fun. It was the perfect location, perfect weather & perfect day together! 

We're all itching to plan our next trip there! 

Horse rides!

We took a day trip to uncle Newell & aunt Mary's house! We had "ride a horse" on our bucket list, so it was perfect to get a chance to visit them as we'll!

Aubrey even got to witness the action!

The kids were good about waiting & watching until it was their turn!

Cayden got to go first! He was so excited!

Then Sidney got to ride with Mary while Prestyn rode behind.

Prestyn was pretty quiet during his first ride & Sidney jabbered the whole time.

They loved it!

Then Prestyn blabbed the entire time when he rode with Mary!

They got to help feed Dusty & White Cloud after they were done!

We got home, ate supper & watched this beautiful view!

Visiting grandma meme!

Sidney & I had to take grandmas walker back to her room. As we were walking & Sid was pushing the walker she said "do I look like her?" "Take my picture" then she slowly hunched over! 

We got to bring grandma down to Harvey & Karens place & eat Eugene's together.  I love watching my dad with his mom. Especially during moments like these!

Kyla LOVES babies....especially when they slobber & drool on her, or puke. Lol. I told Sidney that Kyla was a great cousin. Kyla said "yep, I'm the best cousin of all"  then Sid said "no, the dad is the best cousin" so Uncle Harvey... It looks like your the best!

My grandma & grandma Meme to the kids! Love her so very much!!! I'm so thankful for each moment I get to spend with her.  She always surprises me with the things she says or the stories she shares. She also wows me with her LOVE for others & sharing the love of Jesus with them.

Aunt Karen had the magic touch & got Aubbie to snooze! I think she just might have enjoyed herself. 

Kyla is taking after her dad & is able to take a nap just about anywhere!

The guys took the kids over to Kyla's to play with her dog Charlie.

It was a great evening! 

Rainbow spaghetti!

Last night for supper we made colorful spaghetti. It was fun & the kids got to help so they were thrilled.

First we cooked, drained & cooled the noodles. Then we put food coloring in ziplock baggies & added the noddles & sealed shut.

Each kid got to pick their own color.

Then they got to smush away & get the color all over the noodles! 

The kids loved getting to help & see the color changes.

Charlie was thrilled! :)

Then we re-rinsed all the noodles & re-heated them.
