THE PARADE
We went to the parade on Saturday as well. It was windy & cool, but we only got a few sprinkles, and a 1/2 bag full of candy! It was fun and Cayden LOVED it!

RECIPE SEARCH!!
I'm in desperate need of some new recipes my friends. Its finally being consistantly warm out & I'm already sick of burgers & brats on the grill! Tonight I used my sister's marinade recipe and we are grilling steaks, I'm taking some frozen french fries and seasoning them in a tin-foil bag and grilling that too.
So, please share with me some of your favorite grilling recipes/foods, and favorite side dishes. I want things that are easy to make this summer that don't require a ton of prep work or heating up the entire house. Crockpot recipes are great too...THANKS FOR SHARING!!!

MOTHERLOAD of pictures
So, we had a fun Father's Day weekend. Friday night we buzzed up to Justyn's parents house & spent the evening there hanging out.
Saturday we went out fishing. Ryan and Chance met us there and we fished all morning. It was fun to get out & enjoy some sunshine.

We got home & were wiped out. All the boys took a HUGE nap. Then Ryan & Chance came over & we played out in the yard and had a HUGE water fight.
Elliot...I mean Chance, enjoyed "chill'n" in Cayden's pool:

It was a fun day & we even had a bonfire after dinner.
Sunday was a good day too. We got to love up on Justyn whose the most wonderful daddy in the world. He's so awesome with our little men and takes such good care of them. We had to do a little photo shoot to celebrate the day.

Slow-cooked Lasagna Alfredo
Here's a new recipe I finally tried. It's been sitting in my "to try" pile for AGES, and I finally made it. It turned out great and was really yummy (plus it didn't heat up the entire house)
Slow- cooked Lasagna Alfredo
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 lb lean ground beef
1 (26.5 oz) can Hunts Traditional style spaghetti sauce
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
9 no-boil lasagna noodles (7 oz) I used regular & it turned out fine
1 (16oz) jar ragu classic alfredo sauce
3 cups (12 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Dried parsley flakes (optional for garnishing)
In a large skillet, (over med-high heat) cook the ground beef, until thoroughly cooked, stirring often; drain.
Spray the inside of a 4 to 5 qt slow cooker, with non-stick cooking spray. Spread ¾ cup of spaghetti cause, in bottom of slowcooker. Add remaining spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce to cooked ground beef, stir.
Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the spaghetti sauce in slowcooker; breaking noodles if necessary. Top with 1/3 of the alfredo sauce; spreading evenly. Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Top with 1/3 of the ground beef mixture; spreading evenly.
Repeat layering twice, using 3 lasagna noodles in last layer. Sprinkle top with grated parmesan cheese.
Cover; cook on low setting for 3.5-4.5 hours. Just before serving, sprinkle top of lasagna with dried parsley flakes. Makes 6-8 servings.
ENJOY!
