Turtle Days Family Fun Night!

We went to Turtle Lake for the 31st Annual Turtle Days.

Friday night was Family Fun Night, so we went down to check it out!

The last few years Nana has bought a "duck" for each of the grandchildren.

They (not sure who "they" are - but some TL peeps) draw some random ducks with #'s on the bottom!

Last year Saedira won!

This year SIDNEY won.  She had the choice of prizes to choose from.

I was trying to lean her towards the cooler with a bunch fo awesome camping gear inside....

but she went for the princess tiara set!!

Next up was the egg toss.

Nana & I convinced the boys to go up against each other!

Oh well at least they had fun!

 Meanwhile Nana & Sidney were busy checking out her new princess gear!

 After the evenings festivities we went back to Nana & Papa's & relaxed.

"running" the turtles

If you remember my post about a month ago, we caught turtles in the turtle pond behind the farm.

Well they are ALL still alive & are SUPER fast.

We take them out once or twice a day & "run" them, clean their water & feed them.

We're getting pretty excited for Turtle Days this weekend & getting to "race" our turtles.

Hopefully they perform well & don't freeze up.

They escape pretty quickly around here!! LOL

Parade 2012

We went to the parade & met up with a bunch of friends.

These are all our kids!  Between 5 of us! LOL

The deck!

We are FINALLY getting the deck built back up!

Uncle Ryan stayed after a day of fishing with the boys & helped Justyn do the main framework.

 Then he got LOTS of snuggles from this little girl.

She loves her uncle Ryan!!

SWIMMING LESSONS!

The boys started swimming lessons yesterday!

 So proud of himself.  He told me before we went that they just needed to teach him to be brave since he already knows how to swim! LOL

 Prestyn did it all for the gum I promised him!

& the proceeded to show me what he learned when we went back to the pool in the afternoon!

Homemade birdfeeders

This day we made homemade bird feeders!

The boys were excited for a project while sis napped.

 We put peanut butter on some TP rolls & then rolled them in birdseed.

The we strun yarn through them & hanged them up in the yard!

The boys had fun checking them to see if they were getting pecked at!

We've been trying to do some fun projects this summer to keep us busy!
