AIRPLANES!!

First off I just have to say -
~I MADE IT OUT OF THE HOUSE WITH 3 KIDS BY MYSELF!!~
(and it was before 9:30am) whoot whoot

We went to the Beulah airport this morning to see the airplanes. It was the "Fly In" (i think that's what it was called) and they had all sorts of airplanes. They also served a free pancake breakfast - which we took advantage of. The boys both thought it was great.
This guy was flying this huge "toy" airplane. The kids thought it was great.

We ran into a bunch of friends while there so I had to grab a picture. Check out all these adorable boys! Regan was a little outnumbered - guess I should have put Sidney in there with her. :)

Prestyn thought the airplanes were cool "look, mommy, up sky" :)

Cayden was beyond thrilled to be there too & BEGGED to get a ride in an airplane. "REALLY?" I asked Cayden, "are you sure you won't cry & be scared - mommy won't be in there with you" Cayden told me "No, I won't cry, can I go mom??" So I went & asked the lady how old they had to be and she told me as long as they will go without a parent they could go (NOT the answer I was looking for - he's only 4) So I went to Cayden and again said "are you sure?? I won't be there with you & they can't just come back down if you get scared" and he started jumping up & down "yes, I want to go, can I go please??" So I went & put his name on the list....eek.

Sidney was with me on this one - she was already praying for Cayden's flight and that it would be safe & he would land back on dry land safe & sound. (she slept through almost the entire morning)

When they came & told us it was his turn he took off running after the lady to go get on the plane - meanwhile yelling back to me how exciting this all was.

Here he is waiting to get in the plane (I'm about to freak out - waiting for him to cry & say he doesn't want to go anymore...you know...because he's still my baby & he couldn't possibly want to go in a plane without me by his side - right?)

WRONG - He climbed right in & let the lady buckle him in. Then when I popped my head in to take his picture he told me "Mom, this is so exciting" (CRY)

Doesn't look one bit scared to me....what a brave boy!

TOTAL CHEESE HEAD = CAYDEN

Peek'n out to wave at me!!

and some more waving - he went up with our friend Carter and his friend Noah who we just met today! :)

getting ready to go

after having just landed

He made it back safe & sound, he said they got to see the lake, daddy's work & our house (i'm not sure about our house - but I believe him on the rest) He said they even turned to the side and it was "so cool"

I can't believe my BABY Cayden is growing up and wanting to do these "big boy" things all on his own. I was so proud of him!!

Oh & my friend Heather was awesome helping me with the kids and took Cayden to the bathroom before the flight (you never know) and she said he told her that he wasn't going to be a girl. She asked him why? what do you mean? and he told her that when they flip over & hit their head he wouldn't cry. :) teehee funny boy.

COUSINS

We went to Watford City to meet up with Papa to take Grammie back home & convinced my sister & family to meet us there (it didn't take much convincing as they hadn't met Sidney yet)
Here are all the grandkids together with Papa & Grammie - check out Hope's pose & Prestyn screaming!! So funny.

Anthony was a little flirt with me

Charlie - ever the baby snuggler - told his mom that they could have one more as long as they can skip ages 2-4 :)

Alex got a snuggle in but wasn't too sure (or overly impressed)

Hope was completely smitten with her new baby girl cousin - she wanted to hold her the entire time we were there!! So sweet!!!

After dinner we went to the park (they have an AMAZING park in Watford - I'll be stopping there again) Here are all the cousins together again.
Cayden 4, Anthony 11 months, Hope 5, Prestyn 22 months, Alexander 3, Charlie 12, Sidney 2 weeks.

Auntie Steph was in love too.

And of course a pic of Missy Carin with me!!

BATHTIME!

Okay, so I had to do it.
1) it saves on the mess and time
2) my mom has pics of us taking baths together when we were little so I had to do it to my kids too

VBS

We put Cayden in VBS this week, he went from 5:30-8:30pm. The first night I took him to drop off thinking, "I'm his mom, he'll need ME because he'll be scared". We walked in holding hands & I'm trying not to cry...meanwhile he's strutting his stuff saying "this is gonna be awesome"
He did great, loved every night & came home telling us stories.
On the last night they did a little concert singing the songs they had learned & did a slideshow of pictures from the week. At first Cayden refused to go up, but one of his teachers told him she'd go up with him & after that he sang his heart out.
Prestyn was dancing in the aisle & wanted to go up with Cayden so bad, so for the last song the teacher brought Prestyn up too. He stood up there and shook his bootie to the music. It was cute!
I'm thankful we have these programs here where my kids can go and have fun, and learn about God. How blessed are we to have that freedom!! :)

Meeting Grammie & Papa

Well Sidney finally got to meet her Grammie & Papa. They came so mom could stay & help out when Justyn went back for his first shift at work. Grammie was ooohing & ahhing over her new granddaughter.

Papa snuggled her right up & took a nap. He thought she was pretty cute too - but he didn't love the bow! (teehee)

Miss Sidney ~ she had to wear the big bow/headband for papa - just because he loves them so much!!
