Prayers and Praise

Hello again! Sorry I've been MIA, there's been alot going on around here.


First off the prayers. Please pray for my friend Teryn, who was induced last Thursday night after not finding thier baby's heartbeat. She was 22 weeks along. This is such a difficult time right now. Please keep their family in your prayers. We don't understand why things like this happen, but I have faith that God will give answers and comfort through this aweful time. William Lynn was born at 3:15 am on Friday May 8th, 2009. Please pray for comfort for his parents and his sister during this difficult time. His funeral is this Saturday, they will need alot of prayers.


I have no idea how to transition in to praise after their loss, and heartache, but I have faith knowing that there are still good things happening out there. Like the 181 people who were on the Legs for Lorisa team this year & who also raised over $12,000 for the NMSS! I was in tears I was so excited. Lorisa is an awesome friend of mine and to know that this money is going to help find a cure for this horrible disease is just exciting. The weather was less than warm, but it felt so good to be there to walk for her. I pray that we can find a cure for this debilitating disease.

In the evening we went to the hotel & took the boys swimming & hung out pool-side with Terry & Lorisa & their families. Cayden had fun going down the big waterslide with Daddy & Uncle Ryan:

FINALLY got my pictures resized to share so here they are.

Cayden's Sunday School teacher Esther came over & taught me how to decorate a cake. She was so awsome. Our friend Jessica came over to learn with us! It was alot of fun, here are the process pics. One side chocolate, one side vanilla:

Completed cake, (2 and a half hours later) :) It was so fun to learn how to decorate a cake, the grass tip was quite the work-out but it looked CUTE!

Cayden got to open a few presents early on his birthday morning. Grammie & Papa got him a fishing pole.


Hope and Cayden were so excited to see each other, they were glued together the entire weekend:

It was so funny to watch, he'd stand up to get a new present to open & move to a new spot to open gifts and they whole clan of kids would follow & hover around. It was so cute!


That's right, excited over a can of beans (our friend Lorisa has been telling Cayden for a month that she was going to give him a can of beans). When he opened it he held up the can & said "oooh, look what I got"

FUN WEEKEND!

WOW- we had a really fun weekend with Cayden's 3rd birthday party, and on Sunday we had both of the boys dedicated. We had alot of family come to visit & celebrate with us! It was great. I'm going to be working on getting pictures up in the next few days! :) Thanks to those of you who came to celebrate with us! We really enjoyed ourselves & hope you did too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAYDEN!!

My big boy is 3 today! WOW - where did the last 3 years go? I'm so proud of my little man, he's so smart and kind. I just can't believe he's 3 today. Grammie, Papa, Autie Steph, Charlie, Hope, Alex, Uncle Ryan, and Chance are all here. :) Its been a fun morning and its gonna be a fun day!

We have a bunch of friends & family coming this afternoon for his party, food & cake! I love birthday's and parties and any reason to get together! And its even more fun to celebrate Cayden's birthday!

I went down to his room this morning to check if he was awake & he was pretending to be asleep. I went in & said "IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!" and he sat up & said "It is?" and I said "yes, your 3" he said "I AM?" and ran upstairs and told everyone "ITS MY BIRTHDAY" :) He's loving his big day. He opened a couple special gifts this morning and has been begging for his "birthday" (he wanted his cake out on the counter to look at)

Okay, I better go get stuff ready! Just am so excited that my big boy is 3!!!!

BISMARCK

We're headed to Bismarck today with our friend Lorisa & her son Kael. Can't wait to get some shopping done! :)

WIPED OUT!

Well the fundraiser last night for Legs for Lorisa went great. We had alot of fun & stayed up way to late (or should I say early?) Regardless, we had a great time and they raised alot of money for NMSS, so it was wonderful!

I'm exhaused today & ready for bed. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get some energy back again!

We had a bonfire on Wednesday night, it was so beautiful out all day.

I convinced Melinda to stay & come to MOPS with me on Thursday.

I have been accepted onto the steering team at MOPS for next year. I'm so excited. MOPS has been wonderful for me since moving here, I've met alot of fabulous moms and formed alot of new friendships through MOPS. So I applied for the hospitality position for next year & I got it! I'm so excited to be a part of the team and hopefully make new moms feel how I did coming here. Anywhoo, rambling, I'm just excited to be a part of the team.

After MOPS we had a taco-in-a-bag fundraiser lunch for Lorisa and the MS walk. The MS walk is in Bismarck on May 9th, my family & I are walking for Lorisa's team "Legs for Lorisa" to help raise money to try to find a cure.
